I was born and raised in Oklahoma. Throughout my childhood, I could always be caught working on my sketch pad, poring over a book of house-plans or making a creative mess of something. After a high school photography class I was hooked on photography. My lifelong passion for the arts and design compelled me to attended Baylor University, where I graduated with a degree in Interior Design. I worked as an Interior Designer in Dallas for several years before making my passion my life’s work. I now own and operate Abbey Northcutt Photography in Edmond, Oklahoma.
I love to bring an artistic approach to photography by doing things differently than what most people would expect. I take the majority of my photos outdoors because I believe the natural environment creates a wonderfully fresh look and lends a vibrant feel that’s impossible to recreate in a studio. The best pictures are the ones that show people as who they truly are in their element.
In my spare time (hah!), you can find me hanging out with my husband, friends, and family, renovating our house, pretending I’m a gourmet chef, and gardening.
